Opening Ceremony (First Meeting)
Program Opening Ceremony
At the beginning of each program year, Young Kings & Queens Foundation hosts an opening ceremony to welcome new participants and introduce them to the program.
During this first meeting youth will:
• learn about the program values
• meet mentors and participants
• receive journals and program information
• take the King & Queen pledge
• begin their mentorship journey
This event helps youth feel proud to be part of the program and understand the goals of the program.
Young Kings & Queens Foundation hosts special events throughout the year to help youth build confidence, strengthen friendships, and create positive experiences outside of regular meetings.
Each year the program may organize a camping experience where youth and families can enjoy outdoor learning and bonding.
Activities may include:
• nature exploration
• teamwork activities
• outdoor skill building
Families are welcome to attend and will be responsible for their own campsite or park fees. Participation is optional.
Youth Fishing Trip
Participants may have the opportunity to take part in a fishing trip where they can learn patience, teamwork, and outdoor skills.
Families may attend and help support the activity.
Community Service Projects
Youth may participate in community service opportunities where they learn the importance of helping others and making a positive impact in their community.
At the end of the year, participants gather to celebrate their growth and achievements. Youth may receive recognition for their leadership, kindness, and participation in the program.
End-of-Year Celebration
End-of-Year Awards Ceremony

This celebration may include:
• recognition awards
